PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A fictional narrative about two exceptionally talented musicians, one black and the other white, who reach across the barriers of race, segregation and prejudice during the 1960s Civil Rights Era to play their music together. Set in the Mississippi Delta, they demonstrate  what true brotherhood can and must be.

Described as "Ray" meets "Talk to Me", their story interweaves music genres of Blues, R&B and Gospel to the backdrop of powerful historic battles of racial equality and freedom that are still being fought in our streets of today.

Our story is not a History Lesson. It’s a Truth Lesson. Only Truth will set us Free.

Freedom
It's been 400 years and we still haven't gotten it right!

Equality, freedom and justice are just empty words when not supported by action.

Consider the application of the Amendments to the United States Constitution

  • 13th (slavery abolishment)
  • 14th (citizenship)
  • 15th (voting rights)

40 acres and a mule were supposed to have been the start of emancipation.

Of the nearly 4 million Blacks who were supposed to have gotten this start to land ownership and freedom, only 2,000 initially did.
